So today I had lunch with Father McGuire, the Catholic Priest on base, and was genuinely asked , “if I wanted to join a convent and become a nun”. I am not sure why I was asked this question, but I respectfully declined. So then I was left wondering, do I give off a Nun vibe? I would feel too much pressure as a Nun I think, I generally like everyone but there are some days where I just pretend to be nice. Also, I would get chastised a lot for excessive use of lip gloss (shows vanity) and I don’t like to wear the color black ..because well..everyone wears that color (which would be even more true if I became a Nun), and lastly, I don’t sing well enough to be a Nun, those hills would not be alive with the Sound of Music if I were there.
