So today at bible study we talked about how God reveals Himself to those who humble themselves before Him and are willing to follow Him. You wanna know why when we go to places such as New Camp and Fall Retreat we feel super close to God? Its because we humble ourselves and allow Him to speak to us during those times. We get rid of distractions (i.e. electronics) and were basically forced to communicate with God for a few days straight. Why dont we do this at home? Because we dont care enough. Were not forced to have worship sessions twice a day, were not forced to open our bibles everyday and study the word, were not forced to talk to God. And there lies the problem with what I would say is the majority of Christians. They care more about their happiness and free time and such and they dont care enough about God and thus they dont spend time with Him unless theyre forced to. Just a thought...
