So, today we had our home study! ;) It went great and it was so nice to finally meet Mrs. Joanne! We have one more visit on Thursday, because 2 visits are required and then all of our home study paperwork will be submitted to Mercy Ministries! ;) It feels so good to have this step over with! I cant wait to be able to submit all of our paperwork to Mercy Ministries. From what MM told me they do not do very many placements, so once we get on a list we might start working towards getting on another list. Mrs. Joanne mentioned American Adoptions. Has anyone ever used them? Supposively they do over 100 placements a year! We are still open to doing an independent adoption, so if any of you know of someone who is wanting to choose adoption for their sweet babies or hear of someone in the future we would be so happy to talk to you about it! Im going to continue to pray that God leads us in the direction that he would have us and if we are meant to have children here on earth that he would bring our family together. We are so ready for the next chapter in our lives! On another note, we went to Lipscomb University tonight to pay our respects to Dr. Arneys family! My heart just breaks for his wife and 3 children! Meeting his wife and two of his kids just showed me how wonderful of a family he had. His two older children seemed like such strong kids and knew their daddy was in heaven. I know standing up at the casket while everyone comes to pay their respect is not an easy place to be, so my heart just breaks for them! If you guys could continue to pray for his family for strength and peace ad they are mourning their husband/daddys passing.
