So tonight Leta and I where invited to attend a volunteers appreciation night/whine and cheese for LAtelier De Clare. We have had the pleasure of working with these folks since last summer. For those of you who do not know who or what LAtelier De Clare is ,They are a group of devoted people in our area helping folks with disabilities.They have a nice big building in Church point where they do projects to raise funds (Pallets,Paper shredding,Dog tags) for their group..they all meet here and It gives them a place to have fun and do different activities.We posted an add last summer for some volunteers and they stepped up big time! Six of their clients started coming to help out.Not knowing quite what to expect I put them to work cleaning pens,watering and feeding dogs...some where not to comfortable with all the barking at first but with all of them wearing protective earmuff everybody got right into it...I soon learned that they were very happy and eager to help with anything.Awesome folks to work with and always smiling and happy around the animals. the smiles on some of them faces are priceless..Timothy Comeau my main man fell in love with a little beagle named Girly....for hours he would just sit there in a pile of bags filled with blankets with her and smile...happy as can be.these folks work very hard for the animals..they loved doing it and did with a passion you have to see too understand...Keith,Amanda,Joey,Bobby,Michelle,where always willing to help with the animals.They would walk them in the field like nothing else mattered. having a blast.this gang came all summer and we had fun...good honest people..well except for when Timbob shut off the main water line!!..oh well,we had a good laugh...they work hard and are always willing to help out...I must say thank you to them for the help and for showing me what life is really all about..live it like there is no tomorrow ...enjoy life...I know they will be coming back and we will still have a blast..they are hoping to find other projects that these folks can help out with..,got an idea that could use some extra eager hands well these folks are willing to help...thanks again also to everyone who helps out around here also...Erica,Steph you guys were a big help....Manon your still helpin!..tks gals...mom ,dad Dor Cat kev Kat and everyone else who aint scared to get their hands dirty when it comes to saving a life....thank you!!
