So, tonight was the night that I took the stage and tried standup comedy for the first time. Most TERRIFYING thing Ive ever done in my life to date, no lie. Im not comfortable standing out in a crowd, for any reason, ever. Believe it or not, when outside of familiar surroundings, I actually do have a painfully shy side and tonight was no exception! Thankfully I had everyones support. From smiling faces in the audience to FB posts and text messages it was humbling to have so many friends cheering me on and I love you all so very much. I did OK tonight. I dont think I bombed, I had genuine laughs and I know where I can improve/change for my next attempt. I opened strong, I at least gave off the illusion of not being paralyzingly terrified, I left the stage with a laughing groan and didnt receive any heckles or boos. Tonight folks, it was Shauna for the win :)
