So what did I do before zip front waders? Aside from the obvious, the ease of getting into / out of them makes life back at the truck so darn easy! And being able to unzip them to regulate warmth on hikes / let out the funk keeps things a little more comfortable. The G4Z waders from Simms so far are living up to the hype: lighter, more breathable and more durable, theyve been on several longer days with me including todays hike... We hiked in to a piece of water that Brian and I have spoken about for years with serious big fish potential. New water to both of us, and many anglers we expect as its just not often thought about... Some very nice water and while we saw a couple of fish, we expect that others just didnt move up over the winter / dropped back early due to low water and mild temps. Well worth the long walk and we may just return early next october for a follow up. Always fun.
