So what if it is raining. The birds look happy. The grass looks grateful. Hopefully, the earth surrounding the grass will be willing to allow the weed population to be easily decanted into the brown bin and yours truly can plant all the bargain bulbs bought yesterday at Pound Stretchers for, amazingly, under one pound each. Even their packets of seeds were cheaper than those bought at B & Q, so the challenge for today is....weed, plant and pray for success!! (Tell you one wee miracle, though. Planted some honeysuckle seeds a few years ago and amazingly, fragrant flowers now climb up part of the fence. Plus, the cut back clematis which Bert originally planted, has re-invented itself and has made a partial comeback. Right! Coffee drunk. Fried egg on toast devoured. Auld claes await. So does a relaxing hot bath and manicure for later. Garden, here I come....
