So whats had me bothered or not all there lately? Let me explain and offer a blanket apology to those Ive left wondering. My Dad, Richard Stopher was diagnosed with a rare and harsh form of cancer. In waiting to find out if there was any possibility of treatment that had any positive outcome, weve discovered that the doctor who assigned the name dedifferentiated liposarcoma is, to say it kindly, was incompetent. No, Dad isnt home free... There is a grapefruit sized mass on his liver. The Siteman Cancer Research Center in St. Louis is still on the case, and working overtime getting a correct diagnosis. It is still a bad situation, and not good in any way, shape, or form. We, the family and Dad, are requesting prayers for not only Dad, but his doctors and techs that they come to a conclusion quickly and that this may be resolved quickly, too. Dad is a tough old man (sorry, Dad, you are!), and a Marine on top of it, so he isnt going to roll over easy. We still need prayers for him, as well as Mom!
