So ..... yesterday i experienced a great evening..this is not rhetorical .... I really grew up with Ace Frehley be my hero, my inspiration, my biggest idol .... I was a child and I already knew all his solos by heart, every step .... this means so much. Ace was able to write and produce some of the finest guitar solos in rock history, which can be sung and remain engraved in the mind of the listener. How many times have I brandished my Wilson tennis racket in front of the mirror, dreaming that it was a Les Paul? For me to have a word with Ace, to hear and see his famous grin, shake his hand, is of enormous value .... Some have pictures next to Obama or the Pope .... (with our politicians would be derogatory ...). Well, for me Ace is the Pope ... ha ha yeah .... Also because he s an idol of rock and roll and rock music, helps me to live well and to overcome the frustration! He has inspired the biggest rock stars of today and was a founding member of one of the most important rock and roll band in the world, KISS .....Ace is the one and only Space man in KISS. PERIOD......and now about the concert .... It was pure adrenaline .... great band with outstanding musicians .... Chris Wise, a solid bass player with excellent technique and also a very good singer; Ritchie Scarlet (who looks more and more like Keith Richards meets Alice Cooper), is a great showman who fills any space on stage tirelessly until the end. Drummer Scott Cogan (he was so kind to give me one of his sticks) gave his best, playing with power and singing great challenging songs like Love Gun, Strutter, Detroit Rock City..He had the hard task to replace Matt Starr, a drummer and a friend of enormous talent, now touring with MR BIG ; finally, Ace... he is in Great shape ! the sound of his Gibson is rich, mellow and round with a spectacular vibrato ...He is part of a generation of guitarists that did not matter how fast you play... but the energy and vibrations you transmitt to the audience. The show was sold out and I was i in the front row...right in the middle :). Except offering some of the best songs from the new album, Ace has dusted off some memorable songs such as Brekaout, Lost in Limbo, Shot full of rock, Rock Soldiers, 2 young 2 day, Strange Ways, Parasite, Cold Gin, Shock Me, and the explosive Rocket Ride ....
