So you just never know what life will bring you...So Mike and I end up in ER of the VA hospital last night because unbeknownst to me hes been experiencing chest pain all week that went down his arm...and would go away when he sat down or was laying down. Initial tests ruled out a heart attack but they still suspected something...admit him to observe do an angiogram as soon as they could because his rick factors were significant... both his parents had cardiac disease...Today they took him in about 1 and he was back in his room by 3:30...found the problem...widow maker artery on front of heart had a 95% blockage...ballooned it and put stent in place...all while he was awake through the femoral artery...didnt have a chance to be scared out of my wits....certainly counting my blessings and the wonders of modern medical procedures!
