Some advice to aspiring artists - do NOT try to build a fan base solely in your community first - its too real for them, you are just the kid next door. Out of every single state in the country, Oregon is probably one of the places I get the least love given that Im from here - Portland still has no idea that #TreeHouseGang is really out here in every state across the country, not to mention Canada, England, Australia, New Zealand, Mongolia, and more. The people closest to you WILL sleep on you, so make sure you seek an audience OUTSIDE your hometown first - you will get a much more realistic idea of your potential, unless you happen to fit into the box that your city wants you to be in!
