Some events in life are spiritual awakenings. Whether we as soldiers experience an enemy engagement and realize our fragile mortality, or as a civilian we are given a life threatening medical diagnosis. For some reason I don’t quite understand, I’ve always trusted God, even when I was a kid and in times of war abroad or adversity at home. I’ll trust him until my last breath. I pray that all of my friends reading this will trust God and except his peace. God can bless you with peace, even in a warzone, literally. I pray for my brothers in harm’s way at this time, you know who you are.
