Some of you may already have this, but Ive made my song #TheProtester free to download on SoundCloud // https://soundcloud/krisbowers/theprotester I began writing this song during the height of Arab Spring and Occupy Wall Street, and finished it around the time of Trayvon Martins murder. Although theres a lot of anger, pain and suffering in the song, theres also hope. Hope that we have the power to push for change instead of succumbing to the comfortabilities of our lives and simply say, next time, it will hopefully be different. Theyve made it clear that it wont be different. Not unless we push for that difference. So, whether your part is peacefully moving to the streets in protest, making some sort of push for structural changes (like requiring police officers wear cameras on their person), or simply doing something like boycotting Black Friday, dont let this become a #trend that dies down until the next time. I honestly find that difficult to do myself, so this charge is to me too... #Ferguson
