Some of you might remember back in May when we told you the story of Bo. Bo is a bully breed dog that a family adopted from us over a year ago. He had been at the shelter and was set to be euthanized along with 20+ other dogs. We teamed up with several other organizations and together there were over 20 dogs saved that weekend. We took three and Bo happened to be one of them. He has giardia, coccidia, upper respiratory infection, skin infection, fleas, pretty much everything. After he healed up his fosters adopted him. A tragic event last May changed Bos life forever and some now call him a hero. His familys home was broken into, owner attacked, house trashed, and Bo took out the front door after the two men beat him in the head with a baseball bat. His family searched for him, we searched for him, we posted his photo everywhere and he made several local news stations. He was missing for about two days before he miraculously made his way back home. Unfortunately, Bo lost one eye from the severe damage the beating did. We payed for all medical costs of the surgery and Bo is healed up now. Now, due to unforeseen circumstances in their lives and no fault of his own...Bos family can no longer keep him. So, they have asked us to help and we are taking him back into PPR. Bo needs a forever home or at least a foster for a while until we can find a forever home for him. He is around 3-4 years old, he is around 45-50lbs, he is great with kids and people, and he is okay with most dogs, but he probably needs to go to a home with a female dog. He will sometimes get snappy with other males. He is neutered, was heart worm tested negative, has been dewormed and treated for all prior conditions. Bo is a very special boy that deserves to be spoiled and needs a new family to call his own. *We ask that no rude comments about the previous owners be made. This post is solely intended to help find Bo a new home and negative comments only ruin those chances. The circumstances are truly out of their control.* If you are interested in Bo, please send us a private message or email us at Pitifulpawsrescue@hotmail Here are several links to the news stories about Bo and there are a few pictures before and after the surgery below. examiner/article/hero-pit-bull-hit-with-bat-protecting-owner-from-break-found herald-dispatch/news/briefs/x1991469911/Man-charged-in-connection-to-beating-dog-woman-during-burglary charlestondailymail/article/20140602/DM02/140609865 wowktv/story/25713004/dog-loses-eye-after-three-men-break-into-wrong-home-in-huntington
