Some reflections as I hiked Squaw Peak again today...Im NOT IMPRESSED by hikers who RUN DOWN the mountain; all that takes is gravity and a lack of common sense. I AM IMPRESSED by those who RUN UP the mountain; they show us what can be achieved through hard work and discipline. Im ALSO IMPRESSED by those who take a moment AT THE TOP of the mountain to reflect and enjoy a moment of humble AWE in what they just achieved. But I am MOST IMPRESSED by those who CALL DOWN FROM THE TOP, shouting encouragement to those of us hiking up from below...They give us ENERGY, COURAGE and HOPE! They are MORE THAN HIKERS...they are HEROES!!
