Some self proclaimed scholars have been propagating that our own intelligence agencies are involved in Talibanization in our own country exactly the way they were and are involved in Afghanistan. Due to their sugar coated words, English medium and jeans and frocks many among our youth are buying their narrative. I dont. But I am open to criticism and encourage those who support this narrative to make me understand that if our intelligence agencies are funding all these terrorist groups for continuation of the strategic depth policy in Afghanistan then why are these terrorists blowing up themselves in Pakistan? Secondly, if our own Army supports these groups then who in Army actually issue orders to these groups for killing its own Generals, brigadiers, captains and officers and Jawans? GHQ, naval bases and airbases have been directly targeted. Both civilian and armed forces are brutally killed in bomb blasts. My take on this is that it is no more 70s and 80s when Gen Zia was considered a hero of Jihad/fasad in Afghanistan. Pak army is miserably stuck now in the shit they defecated in 80s especially after joining great game by some new stakeholders. Whereas these terrorist groups are funded by the enemies of Pakistan on one hand and doing propaganda against our intelligence agencies on the other hand through making that old narrative of strategic depth relevant even today. I will really appreciate if someone disagrees and comes up with strong arguments. This is just a public service message. Regards.
