Some suggestions for the Electrical Branch: • More about Practical exposure than theoretical approach. • Showing actual equipments in industrial visits and via power point presentations in classrooms. Actual photographs. • Then also planning a quiz kind of game to identify the various components used in actual. • Making of small scale projects from the starting semesters in order to inculcate the technical approach. An idea which I always wanted to implement: Making groups of interested candidates from first semester itself. Making projects under the guidance of faculties or seniors. Organizing a competition for selecting best project and working upon it on larger scale. This can be made a part of EESA. I understand the administration and the budget parts are difficult to manage but let the students do the management work. • An Electrical Vehicle made indigenously by the students and faculties of EESA. • Choosing of Projects which can benefit the society or even the nation itself. • Motivating the students from the first year for a better approach towards Engineering. - I would love to come and motivate my juniors if invited by respected faculties. • Project Management/Supply Chain Management from Engineering point of view for Electrical branch • Regular interaction with industrial world. Studying of Quality standards. Exposure to audits. Information about What after B. Tech.? • Information about GATE/IES/GRE and other competitive exams. • Laboratory syllabus is too lengthy. From my view, if 6 to 7 practical topics are covered in lab but are given good detailing then it will help a lot. Let lab session take the Engineers to world where they can feel to what level the technology has gone. • Why? Where? How? what they study can help them in future should also be shown to them so that they have the urge to learn it.
