Someone I love is at a crossroad. Their life seems confusing and the confusion is made stronger without the understanding of how to trust the process. To me God is the superstar in this process. The belief of something bigger than ourselves that will guide us and love us no matter what. I told my friend to trust the process....just trust the process. But how can we when life has dealt us too many dark cards? Where our tired souls can no longer carry the weight of yet another defeat? We go inwards. We listen. Quietly. And then we wait. Life will continue. The children will need to be fed. The birds will still fly. There will be the same traffic in that same corner of the town we live in at the same time of day. And somehow the ache and fear in our heart will still tick tock through it all. It is up to us to learn how to smile even when things are falling apart. It can be a soft smile, the kind where not enough teeth are shown but the heart sees it nonetheless. We have to take on the day as if it were a gift, the ultimate gift from God. It will all unfold as it should, even if we dont like what we see. Every situation, every experience with another soul is a lesson in love. The outcome can be confusing and even painful, but the beauty of love is still there. Gratitude for whatever we have been taught will always shine light on what appears to be dark. So this is for my friend who is in a tangled spot in life, a heart of confusion and a soul that needs to be embraced...you are love and you are loved. I believe in you and so does someone much bigger than you. During these dark hours may you be able to turn your eye to the light and beauty of your life so that the doors can open wide to let love in. I wish nothing more for you than the ability to have the courage to let love in...Let it in my friend and the skies will burst wide open to give your soul the peace it has been searching for.
