Someone ask me why my documentary focus only on black youth, when youth of every race are facing the same problem. I guess he called himself taking me to task. I sense this by the nature and tone of his questions. I explained to him when I address the struggles of my people it does not denote or deny the struggle of others. Moreover, Im for the liberation of my people first and I make no apology about it. I then begin to inform him that historically, injustice is distinctly fervent for blacks and I know what its like first hand. After about 5 minutes of schooling this old head, he keeps interrupting me saying, You keep repeating yourself. I told him, the truth never changes. At the end of the conversation he states, he did not call to argue he called to tell me about a new organization he started and wanted me to join. So this is the new recruitment method folks employ after they friend you on facebook? I see Im going to have to start deleting folks and take my phone number off my profile.
