Someone sent me this message today. It made me feel good, and I will share/answer what I can... Hi Tim: wow you not only look great but have motivated getting healthier. Do you mind sharing how you made it and focus on your goal? ANSWER: First, I set a goal. It has to be something you want personally, and that you believe you will only achieve if you are thinner/healthier. You have to decide in you head that you want it and be very dedicated. Second, I hate to fail, and I really hate for people to see me fail. So I kept announcing my plan on Facebook as a way to shame myself into keeping on track. Third, I decided to accept a challenge (it wasnt really to me, but I did it anyway) to work out at least 250 days in 2014. My personal goal at first was 25 days per month. Now that Ive reached my weight goal, I am hoping to move to 3 days per week (I have 219 workouts in so far). I started working out on the elliptical at 15 minutes and with some free weights on the weight bench. I could do no situps or pushups etc. I worked up gradually over the last 9 months to the workout below. Be careful not to over work yourself, but take it serious - work until your tired, and if you can talk while doing it, or within a minute after, then you arent really working. Today, I was a little pissed off and worked out some frustrations. I had my best workout so far. 1) Run 5.4 miles in 49 minutes (this is a personal best) 2) Chin Ups - 2 sets of 10 (this is a personal best) 3) Crunches - 4 sets of 25 using 125 pounds, 4 sets of 25 using 200 pounds (this is a personal best and I will have a 6-pack soon it is a 2 pack now) 4) Tricep Curls - 4 sets of 25 using 30 pounds with each arm 5) Bicep Curls - 4 sets of 25 using 50 pounds with each arm 6) Bench Press - 5 sets of 20 using 98 pounds 7) Stairmaster - 4 minutes 8) Pushups - 2 sets of 15
