Someone was asking about travel insurance, and I had an interesting thought. What if your flight is Friday morning, and the plane gets delayed until close to sunset. The plane was only delayed a few hours, but now since you cant fly on Shabbos, you have to take a cab to a hotel and spend the night. You will have to spend money on the hotel, money on food, etc. Would a travel insurance agency still reimburse you? Under normal circumstances, you would have taken the flight and not had to pay for the hotel. Ive never heard of anyone making a claim like that but, I think its a valid question. Im asking for myself because my wife and I are flying out of Miami on Friday morning in December, and I will have some form of travelers insurance.
