Something interesting, has everybody heard about the water - TopicsExpress

Something interesting, has everybody heard about the water shortage in California? Shortage bad enough that some farmers and ranchers may not be able to produce the crops we eat elsewhere in the country. I dont drink much coffee anymore, but the other day I was in Starbucks and picked up a bottle of ethoswater that says it ishelping children get clean water on the back side of the bottle says its source for this water that is bottled and shipped all over the country is Baxter Natural Springs, CA or Sugar Pine Springs, CA. Sounds like they advertise a environmental world view, but it appears they dont practice what they say. Some day people that are really concerned about being good stewards of this world, will need to start eating food that is grown locally and in season. Here is a radical thought make 75% of the food we eat be fresh and locally grown. Stop burning up fossil fuel to haul our onions and potatoes across the country. Especially bottled water, bottled on the west coast and shipped to the east, then bottle water on the east coast and ship it west. I drove 40,000lbs of bottled from one coast to the other and back. I even picked up a load of bottled water in east Texas and hauled it to Salt Lake City. Funny thing about that load was that was 4 different labels on the bottles from the same source. Just a note those bottles of water are sold here from $3.50 to $5.95 a case, same water! The labels must cost more on some of them..... Just saying!!!!
