Sometimes I think it would really be nice to glide through life without any problems, sickness or pain. Then I remember Peter said we sometimes think our fiery trials are "some strange thing" (1 Peter 4:12). Adversity is part of the pattern rather than an aberration. Sometimes there is no quick fix, refining occurs gradually "in process of time." Some days though, we wish it otherwise. Good thing God knows what he is doing.
