Sometimes I wonder how do I survive an ordeal which I had endure since my childhood. There are times I felt like giving up on myself especially in trying my best to overcome the pain I had in the past. My pain is not about being brokenhearted. It is not about I am losing my boyfriend. It is about a trust been betrayed with someone who is an immediate family. For the past 20 years, I felt I was like demon changing into human because at one moment I was good and another moment I felt so pain and I always hurt everyone around me. My close friend brought me to sacred path of love in 2013. The lecture by Hajjah Ashaki on how we overcome surrow and pain blew me away. I was like, this is what I have been waiting for throughout my life. To listen to someone speaking about something which I consider a taboo in the society. Not many people understand how someone who went through abuse in their younger days are going through their life now. I thank Allah for Hajah Ashaki who seems to understand the problem and trauma I went through. I realize there are number of people who are having same experience as me at Sacred path of love. I think the event itself is not for people who are being abuse. The event is about how we understand who is Allah and who are we? How can people do evil and also at the same time how we can overcome the pain we are going through. So much lectures I had attended none give the appropriate steps on how we can heal ourselves except at Sacred path of love 2013. I am looking to learn more at Sacred path 2014. I believe it is an event for all muslims to attend cause we are learning something which is from the Quran and hadith of Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. that can change our life.
