Soo my 8yo is getting to the age where he is embarrassed about PDA or even me saying, BYE or Have a great day or You forgot your backpack in front of his friends. Its best for me to not talk at all, apparently. Little ingrate. So when he asked me if I would volunteer for his class field trip, I was REALLY surprised. I quickly signed up before the temporary insanity passed. Last night at bedtime, I started kicking around a few ideas for what we could all do to pass the time on the field trip bus. Me: How about I start singing Mary Had a Little Lamb, and then I point to you and say, Take it away, Sam! and then we just start singing it in a round together. Thatd be so cool. Sam: Me: Im just kidding. Sam: Oh, good. Me: I think itd be much cooler if we sang Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. Sam: [buries his head under pillows and screams] *Being a mom is fun.
