Sorry I am so long is saying thank you to all of our family and friends who have kept my sister in your prayers over the last 7 months. On Friday, July 26th, Dawn, took Merri to Iowa City to see the low vision specialist to be fitted for glasses, now that all of her surgeries are done. Her old glasses measured her at 20/55 and 20/70, her new ones ordered got her at 20/30 and 20/35. She had to wait a whole week for her glasses, but last Friday she got her new glasses and she called me because I at my booth at the fair and she told me excitedly that her world was no longer a blurrrrrrr. She could see. Actually she was in awe and kept taking her glasses off looking and then putting them back on in amazement. She is happy to say that she can now read an actual book. We go back to Iowa City tomorrow to see her eye doctor who has done most of the surgeries, for a followup and Merri will be starting back to work on Monday. They are going to work with her if she has to work part time to give her eyes time to adjust to a full day of concentration. The way things are going this week, she might just do fine. Once again, we both want to say thank you. We are truly blessed and thankful.
