Sorry I havent posted in almost a month, besides the announcement of the unfortunate passing of Bob Hoskins, I can blame it all pretty much on procrastination - well for the time being Im back and here is some news - With Amazing Spider-man 2 opening this weekend the next speculation and talks are going toward the Sinister Six film which is teased at the end of the new movie. The Sinister Six film will be directed by Drew Goddard (Cabin in the Woods) and most likely wont be seeing a release until at least summer 2016. There has been rumors of the various villains the Six could be having but it looks like we will see Rhino (probably played by Paul Giamatti again), Green Goblin (Im assuming Dane DeHaan), Doc Ock (originally played by Alfred Molina in Spider-Man 2), Vulture (should be played by John Malkovich just saying), Kraven the Hunter and Mysterio be the confirmed team. Goddard didnt directly deny or accept this roster but said basically that it could change.....and Im doubting this. Now the question is how would a movie based on villains play out, well the logical answer is to have it more of the villains story and have them battle out with Spidey - but Andrew Garfield is not returning to action until Amazing Spider-man 3. Another option is having a man by the name of Eddie Brock find a certain alien type substance and have him transform into Venom. Well Venom is a villain but he also has been a hero, so having the Six target this new Spidey type character not only will give for an interesting story but also open up for the Venom spin-off which Sony has already green lighted. Now if this all happens the Venom spin-off could open for Amazing Spider-man 3 and could feature the character Carnage which Sony is trying its hardest to show. The only way to introduce him to have Venom appear first, logically. Well regardless of the route Sony and company decides it will be interesting to see what follows in the Spidey universe....Im also hearing a possible Fantastic Four team up?
