Sorryy its so late butt Thor 2:Dark World review!! Im gonna do 2, one spoiler free and one with spoilers so I am warning you now the second one will contain spoilers!! Overall rating: 4.5 *s out of 5 :D SPOILER FREE REVIEW! First things first, if you are planning on seing this, you want to make sure you have seen/know what happens in the first Thor and in Avengers Assemble. The plot line is slightly predictable in that it is a Marvel Superhero film so there is the good vs the bad, the light vs the dark and everyone is throwing each other around, but the character plot lines are amazing! Quite a few unexpected things happen and the effects are amazing, though at times all the action scenes make the storyline a bit hard to follow. But this is different to Thor (1) and Avengers and is a must see for anyone who likes Greek Mythology, Marvel Films, Avengers, or just a well plotted feel good action film that pretty much anyone can enjoy! At the end, the biggest question weve all been waiting to have answered is tackled, will Thor choose his human love or his birthright as King of Asgard?, whilst still leaving it wide open for a 3rd Thor, which if it doesnt happen I will be sorely disappointed! :D SPOILER REVIEW!!! THIS REVIEW WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS!!! Is that enough warning?? :3 So in this film, the ultimate bad guy changes from Thors brother turned arch nemesis Loki to a Dark Elf, Malekith (played by Doctor Whos Christopher Eccleston *-*) who seeks to bring about darkness to allthe realms using a liquid substance called the ether which is like crazy power!! Jump back to earth and find Jane Foster trying to find Thor after he dissapeared at the end of the first Thor. She finds some kind of scientific gravitational anomaly thingie that means she can jump through the realms. Being the classic damsel I distress she gets possessed by the ether and has to be rescued from earth by Thor, but Odin isnt happy about a human in Asgard. But before he can do anything Malekith attacks Asgard and everyone is called to fight. Thors mother dies in the battle trying to protect Jane. Thor decides to call upon Loki for help, who is bein kept prisoner in the dungeons of asgard (which are pretty fancy dungeons if you ask me :P ). Basically Thor devises a plan to take Jane away from asgard to protect the city and draw out Malekith (who was forced to flee) by using janes ether-ness as bait. Then Thor could defeat Malekith and the ether. But two things go wrong. First Odin doesnt permit Thor to leavem but with a little help fro Thors friends and the God of Mischief himself Thor Jane and Loki escape. Thors plan works perfectly apart from one thing. The ether is indestructible...! Thy end up drawig Malekith to earth and get scientific help from the slightly insane Erik, and with some amazing fight scenes between ether infused Malekith and Thor, Jane and Thor work together to defeat Malekith and trap the ether in a secure tank and store it safely... maybe... The brothers bond between Loki and Thor is truly heart warming and makes Lokis apparent betrayal in the early battles with Malekith truly horrific. The character of Jane gets slightly annoying because one minute shes all weak and flouncy the next shes slapping everyone in sight! :P But overall I think this film is truly amazing!!! Please dont hate on me here, this is my personal opinion and I know not everyones gonna agree :) I apologise now for any errors, gramatical or factual but this is rushed and literally from the top of my head so im likely to forget things ;) This took me forever to write so please let me know what you think! :3 ~Underdog
