Special Reminder to All: Physical and online safety is one of our major concerns. Presence in the cyberspace has never been so important now a days especially with regard to issues concerning identity theft. Thus, Consolanians are advised to be responsible in the use of social media at all times. We have been receiving complaints regarding possible identity theft issues in social media which are commonly known as posers. Posers, as defined by the urbandictionary, are persons who pretend to be someone who is not. In a lay perspective, posers are known to be downloaders or grabbers of pictures, personal information and videos and creates a psuedo account using the downloaded or grabbed photos and personal information of others for wrongful or irregular purposes. It is in this concern that the Office of the Student Services Program appeals to you, our dearest Consolanians, to be respectful, responsible and mature in using modern advancements in the cyber space. We would like to remind you, our dear Consolanians, to always be vigilant in accepting friend requests and maintain tactfulness and utmost care in uploading photos and videos in the social media. Maintain the charism of community of friends and exercise Marian-Augustinian values in every posts we make. Please further be advised that the La Consolacion University Philippines has only two official Facebook Pages, LCUP Basic Education Department and the La Consolacion University Philippines Other pages aside form what were mentioned above, who are using the name LCUP may not be connected to the university and that the content maybe difficult to verify.
