Spiritual Hunger - its not a game...its a powerful force Life has so many challenges, doesnt it? Heres a truth: Things are great when they are going great! But, at some point, all of us find the pressures of life, whether financial, family or other worries like health or our ability to cope just too much, too hard. What can help us? What can bring us out of ourselves our problems and our sense of defeat? When I think of the accounts of Jesus ministry I think of so many people who were at the end of their tether, they hadnt just had a bad day, they had years of illness, being outcast being forgotten. But something inside of them broke through - like the thin sliver of the dawn on the horizon on a black night, something began to shine through... It was a desperation, a Spiritual Hunger. Jesus isnt asking you be perfect or even really spiritual, but Spiritual Hunger attracts His attention like nothing else on Earth! It may feel like the odds are never in your favour, but know this: When we experience the darkness of midnight, its just a minute before the start of a New Day! Not only is there hope, but you would not believe, could not conceive, the plans God has to bless you & look after you until you come to a place where your potential - that stuff that is in you, but you just couldnt see it, begins to be released. For me it was a new confidence to believe that I could be just that - someone who had something to offer. Then I began to see God work through me to touch other lives...Im still amazed. When a bow feels the stress the most, its because the arrow is about to be released. Im not sure what God wants to release in you, maybe you know, maybe youre not sure. Let me tell you sincerely, even if we havent met yet, I believe in you, I believe you are of great value and you have amazing potential. I know if God can take someone like me and use me in a small way, then He has a purpose for your life too! There IS a place for you, there is a home for you, there is a family for you... Its called Spirit of Life Church Were not formal, stand-offish or judgemental. Were normal people like you, with the normal kind of challenges. The only difference might be that weve found God breaking forth in the darkness of our lives like a New Dawn. Weve felt its effects in our lives and were grateful!
