Spoke with someone recently who said that new research in Psychology has been undertaken to attempt to define why certain people maintain a right-wing political ideology. ...? One of the factors that kept presenting itself was that the average conservative voter has a lower than average IQ (i.e. not very smart) and is therefore more susceptible to fear-mongering resulting in hardwired knee-jerk reactionary political decision-making behaviour (i.e. voting) rather than wholistic vision-based political response (i.e. voting). Next obvious query? How does a conservative govt maintain their position in its little world? By keeping the general population afraid, exhausted and dumbed down. Is it any surprise that this mob know exactly what they are doing? Next time you make a political decision (i.e. when you are voting) ask yourself if you are reacting or responding and you might have your answer. You might also have a legitimate reason to change your political position in relation to your neighbour (i.e. the rest of Australia and thereby, the world) and refuse to support a conservative fear-mongering political organisation that does not have your welfare at the core of its policy structure but its own ability to profit at your expense with your blessing while you quiver in self-abasement (brought on by oppression and theft in the name of progress) and ...fear. A legitimate question... Why do we continue to support a govt which financially strips basic resources and deposits the looting (because that is what this really is) into its own bank accounts in the form of personal pay-rises? If I did this I would go to jail for fraud and theft. What was that again about double-dissolution? What a load of old krok. I think an outright sacking is in order ...of both the current govt AND the current (rather brown-nosed) Governor General. And if youre a Liberal voter? Dont be too vocal about it. This new research thats about to surface might place you at the bottom of the IQ scale. You might not want too many people out there in the big wide world to know how dumb your reactionary fear-based decisions are. Think I might be wrong? Yep. I might be. Come and get me. Be careful though ...remember where your IQ might sit on that all important politically visible sharply focussed scale.
