It is one of the most fascinating sights in the whole of Vraja. Kusuma means fllowes and sarovar means lake. Formerly surrounding this lake was beautiful forest known as Pushpa vana ( forest of flowers), and with in this forest Srimathi Radharani and Her friends used to pick flowers. Krishna will come and interrupt them and make fun. Then Radha and Krishna will perform their leelai there. There are lots of wonderful conversation happened between this couple. It is said that anyone who bathes in the sanctified waters of this lake becomes eligible to witness the the ambrosila eight fold leelai ( asta - kaliya - lila) of Sri Radha and Krishna. The enchanting Lake, Kusuma Srovara has been here since ancient times and is also known as Sumanah Sarovara. According to Brahma Vaivarta Purana, the great sage Astavakra muni did penance on its bank while waiting for the appearance on the earth of Radha and Krishna. Astavakra muni gave up his mortal coil and entered in to Samadhi at the western bank of the lake. After taking darshan of Kusuma Sarovar, we have started our journey for our next place......... To be continued...............
