St. Maurice of Aganaum-Roman General and Saint of Catholic Church (A.D. 287). St. Maurice was a descendant of Moors who was black. St. Maurice commanded a mostly black legion in Mauritania. Diocletion and Maximian Herculius ruled the Roman capital of the world. Diocletion and Maximian Herculius ordered St. Maurice to suppress a christian slave uprising in Aganaum (AKA Switzerland). For refusing to suppress and kill fellow christians St. Maurice and some of his legion were killed by the Roman rulers. 6000 of St. Maurice troops fled to Germany and Italy.
