Stan still isnt home, after a fire call, these firefighter dont just go home, there is clean up of equipment and trucks , to be ready for the next call. I watch this department for 52 years ,( all but 8 years when Stan was Chief at Lake Egypt) and Marissa can take pride in one of the best Fire Departments in Illinois. Well trained and ready to serve. He was Chief 22 years here and at 72 still answers the call. I am very proud of him and all of them. Our mutual aid rocks too from other towns.....THANKS GUYS & GALS... I will add, we have some wonderful teenagers that also serve through Explorers ...filling air tanks, cleaning up and anything they can do.....THANKS TO ALL OF THEM TOO
