Standing on the Promises of God God declared, “I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.” (Gen. 9:13)” What is God saying? He would not destroy all flesh by water again. And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh. And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth. (Gen. 9:15,16) The only reason God holds back judgment on this wicked world is because Jesus took our sins to the cross. When God looks at us, it is through the rainbow of His love. You will never see a rainbow on a clear day. When you are going through a storm and the sun (Son) will come out and the rainbow becomes visible. All our stormy sins were placed on the Son of God and we were granted mercy. The rainbow tells us that the Promiser keeps His Promises.
