Stayed up most of the night watching the counting of ballot for the Lagos APC governorship primaries and I was reminded of the PinDiPin primaries involving OBJ and others in 1999-remember Obasanjo, Obasanjo, Obasanjo, Obasanjo on and on interspersed with Ekwueme same as it was with OBJ and Atiku in 2003. I dont know or claim to know what had been done behind the scenes. However to a keen observer it was clear that the contest had been reduced to a two-horse race between AMBODE and HAMZAT. And any of the two could have won. To me it clearly shows that APC may want to really break from the past [it is yet to be seen though] and I hope this also will be the case with the presidential primaries. SAD that out of fear? lack of confidence? intimidation? or... we will not be seeing the same great show during the presidential primaries of the ruling party. GOODLUCK to all the contestants. Funny did any one notice the resemblance of the chief electoral officer to Ikimi. In fact I initially thought he was back again but on a closer look ...
