Story title:imagination; my dream girl Author: #Diamomndstar Episode: 29 I got to Moses house by bike at exactly 2:00p.m that Saturday afternoon. I knew he would definitely have been expecting me at his place before now and I would have gotten there by 12:00p.m that Saturday at our appointment time if not for Doyin that misleaded me to believe her little prank. It was a usual practice and a special duty for me to visited Moses house every Saturdays at 12:00p.m prompt: my reason for going to his place every Saturdays was because of a special contract agreement that has been between us for the past two years, the agreement was based on me teaching him mathematics every Saturdays for two hours; from 12p.m to 2:00pm and in returns he promised to gave me anything I wanted or desired in form of cash and other goodies then.... Moses father was a very rich and reputable politician and a formal senator of the house of assembly while his mother is a business woman who travelled abroad frequently for business transactions; in short Moses parents were refinely rich and they had just three children, just like my parents and Moses was the second born and the only son of his parents just like me, so money is not much of a big deal for him......I agreed to became moses mathematics coaching teacher every Saturdays at his place to improve his academic failure in mathematics subject, (though it sounds like a prank but it makes sense to both of us), he was so good in other subjects and he has proven himself to be so reliable and a promised keeper in the course of our friendship and that was exactly what transpire our closeness in school, that most people even considered us to be cousin because we do things in common! Before we had an agreement that turned me to Moses Saturdays coaching teacher and his mutual friend, he was the student With the lowest grade in mathematics among the overall students of futures stars international high school. All the efforts of Mr johnson, our mathematics teacher; a very unique man of great teaching skills and experience, who had a first class upper in accounting in one of the reputable university in Ghana, and the efforts of all the home coaching teachers that Moses parents had hired to improve his grade in maths had proven abbortive because despite all what they did to help him to improve in mathematics, Moses still find mathematics a very difficult subject to passed with flying colours. Because of his failure in maths, his Dad refused him to go abroad to study with his big sister Stella. He had experienced series of serious scolding from his parents and beatens from mr Johnson, our school mathematics teacher, and embarrassment from many of our schoolmates, they used to called him a dullard whenever he got into argument and fight with them because of his regular failures in maths test and examinations before we later became closed friend! Not that he was really a dullard without brain, but he just find only mathematics a hard subject to assimilated just like most students have problem with different subject in school....... The phenomenon that brought about our friendship took place two years back when we were in j.s.s 3 class; it was on a Monday morning, after the morning devotion on the assembly ground! On the assembly ground that day the principal of our school Dr James Adeowo, announced to the whole school that I came first in the mathematics quiz competition that I went the previous weekend where I represented our school, (futures stars international high school), and he awarded me with a medal of honour for lifting up the glory of our school in front of all my colleagues and schoolmates. We matched on to our different classes that day as we set-fort for the days works. Our first period was mathematics and Mr Johnson; the mathematics teacher had given us an assignment the previous week, he came into our class and asked me to did the correction for the whole class after asking everyone of us to submitted our books to the class captain! He took the books to his office and he came back after some minutes to announced to the whole class that Moses got zero mark over twenty in his assignment as usual, he did that just to intimidated him, and he then flogged him mercilessly making him embarrassed and stultify in front of all of us. I noticed that throughout that day Moses countenance was moody and sad, and during the break period when I was alone solving a maths equation when others were out playing on the playing-ground, he came to my desk and pleaded to be friend! I was surprised at first but I took pity on him when he began to sheds tears. That was how our friendship began..... ................................................... To be continued.......
