Stuart Randall ZERO POINTS. Oh you gotta love ATOS and the DWP On the 8th of november I arrived at five ways house for my incapacity benefit case review. There I did sit, stand walk about slowly from 11:30 till 2:00 to be then told as a whole room that they were running at least 4 hours behind and likely I will be seen tonight at 8pm!!! Yes thats right my appointment was at 11:30. So the preferred option for them would be to be for me to go home and not be seen till three weeks later (next available appointment that would be) Not to mention that I wouldnt get my travel expenses till the next appointment either. You wanna know the funny thing. At five ways house a rather smartly dressed gentleman in his designer suit walked into the room surrounded by 5 security guards to announce to the waiting room that it would be better if we were all to leave. Laughable that he needed security guards in a room with 3 people in wheel chairs 4 people with elbow crutches 3 people that did nothing but cry and sob whilst they were awaiting their appointment slot to come in 5 people whom Im guessing had had a stroke and had walking frames and lop sided facial expressions and could barely speak and a further 10 none descript people waiting. 5 security guards ... 2 weeks later I revisit the scene of the crime only to wait a further 3 hours past my then 1:15 appointment time in agony in what can only and be best described as a cold entrance hall constantly blowing Ice cold wind down my already agonised frame having. After taking the journey of 1 bus 2 trains and a exhausting over an hour to walk 300 yards. For my medical appointment to then have a near 2 hour interrogation from a 20 something gentleman about my life. The only thing he didnt ask was the colour of my underwear. Today I get a phone call from a DWP decision maker (laughable job title if you ask me) to tell me they are changing my benefit over to ESA and as a result I do not qualify on their point scoring regimen for anything. Now if you understand this. I suffer from a damaged spine caused by an accident at work that damaged many nerves in my spine causing chronic pain. This leaves me exhausted and in agony after stints of walking standing. I cannot sit for much longer than 20 minutes. I have difficulty walking up stairs at times leaving me to go up stairs lest I fall down them. Bending forward is incredibly difficult and straightening up troublesome This time of year in the cold damp and windy weather makes my condition much worse too So you may ask how many points I scored not physically being able to SIT. STAND. WALK. CONCENTRATE FOR PROLONGED PERIODS DUE TO PAIN AND EXHAUSTION. NOT SLEEP FOR NEAR 10 YEARS. ZERO POINTS. The gentleman decided to give me my incapacity benefit till the 21st of December but no more.
