Summer is here and so is the time for neighborhoods across our county and country to celebrate National Night Out. National Night Out is designed to: Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness. Generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime efforts. Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police/community partnerships. We were proud to join the City of Concord for the second year in a row for their National Night Out in Dana Plaza. Animal Services will also be participating in National Night Out in Pittsburg in August at Small World Park. We love the opportunity to be involved in our community and help educate our citizens about what our department has to offer. Besides the awesome stickers, tattoos, coloring books and meeting an actual Animal Services Officer, you can also LICENSE your dog or cat, right at the event. No muss, no fuss. Thank you to everyone who came out to see us and all the other wonderful and generous vendors and agencies tonight. We had a great time and we look forward to seeing you all again next year. Following are some highlight pics from the event tonight.
