Sunday, July 13, 2014: A big bumpy in the morning, but we still got to see six blue whales, a mako shark and a mola mola. The seas calmed a bit in the afternoon, and we had great views of five blue whales, one of which surprised everyone by surfacing less than 30 from the Privateer. Three of these whales showed off their tail flukes when taking deep dives--plus we saw a pod of about 30 common dolphins. On both cruises we saw more blows in the distance. Great time to get out and enjoy viewing the animals off our coast!
