Sunday morning humour.........Yesterday afternoon I went to a charity even for a little girl who had died from a brain tumour. The event is held every year at our local football club and features local bands and artists. These guys are really talented and a breath of fresh air. There was also face painting for the kids and a couple of small rides – a bit like a mini fair! Anyway her daughter was being a whingey bugger from the minute we got there so I handed her a fiver and told her to enjoy herself whilst me and her mum went inside the club and ordered a drink. We had only been there for a few minutes when her daughter comes running towards us carrying something in a plastic bag………………………….oh no!!!!!! LOOK WHAT I’VE WON!!!!! No way – a bloody goldfish in a bag!!! We were mortified and neither of us had a friggin fish tank between us! So mum has to go back to the place she won it from to see if there are was anything else but NO – she ends up buying a small tank/food from this very clever man who also brings a supply of them with him too. Never give a kid money and tell them to spend it on wheat they want……..To top it off, we were walking along to get a takeout and who should I spy walking towards us with a mate and 2 slappers behind them (dressed to kill and looking freezing cold) only the guy I went over to meet earlier this year – the one that lives 5 minutes away from me! The same guy that wouldn’t be seen dead drinking in our town – must have lowered his standards. Of course I never said a word and neither did he but we laughed so much when I told her who it was as they went to the same school. To top it off, on the way back from the shop, the same little gang was coming out of the place we had just spent the night lol!!! I’m still giggling even now!
