Sunday night... movie night... another classic! Come to the Stable A 1946 film that was tied into World War II. Two nuns come from war torn France were in the center of all the blood shed and kept their faith. Because their prayer to save a hospital used by the Nazis for observation as the Allies were moving forward was answered... they came to America to open a hospital for children. Their faith is what carried them threw the war... and what carries them against all odds in building this hospital. We see some gave up much for their faith, including the one nun who was the top French tennis player before she choose a higher calling. WW II touched everyone in America one way and this movie ties it into the plot perfectly; from the big mobster who lost his son in France to their helpful, Hollywood employed neighbor. Faith or hope... is what carries man through in the darkest times. We have all read a sliver of information, then most saw Tom Hanks in Saving Private Ryan, and some are currently living through the difficulties and horrors of the wars the US has been involved for over a decade.
