Sunnybank has provided 16 players to the National Rugby Competition, more than any other club in Queensland. 15 players were selected for Brisbane and Qld Country. Premier Coach Rod Seib has also been chosen as assistant coach of the Brisbane team while Sunnybank centurion Tim Sampson is also assistant coach of Qld Country. Most pleasing is that GPS and University both had 15 players named that 25% of all non-contracted players selected were from Sunnybank (10 in total). These numbers certainly support the often subjective arguments about whether a club is providing a pathway for talent. Congratulations to the players and congratulations to everyone at the club that has worked hard for these results.
