Super Smash Bros 4 Wii U and 3DS Twilight Princess character detailed Examiner by Shui Ta May 1,2014 Masahiro Sakurai has some revealed some information on a brand new character that will be appearing in Super Smash Bros 4 for Wii U and 3DS. According to a report from Just Push Start on April 28, Midna is going to make a cameo in the crossover fighting game. The princess of the Twilight Realm originated from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, which was released for the Gamecube and Wii consoles in late 2006. In regards to Super Smash Bros 4 for Wii U and 3DS, Midna wont be playable, which may upset some fans who wanted to play as the cat. Instead, she will be used as an assist trophy. The game director stated that she has the ability to grab and throw various objects on the battlefield while keeping her whimsical nature demeanor at the same time. You can find the full details on the characters appearance from Masahiro Sakurai below: “ The Assist Trophy, Midna! This is the 3DS version. She’s going to grab and throw things all over the place. Her uncontrollable, whimsical nature remains intact.” The aforesaid statement confirmed that Midna will be appearing in Super Smash Bros 4 for 3DS. Earlier this month, the Smash Direct episode also announced that the same character would be added to Super Smash Bros 4 for Wii U. Although Nintendo recently announced that not all summons can be accessed in both games, the restrictions wont be applicable to Midna. The publisher also posted a new screen on the official Facebook page of the series depicting Luigi, Peach, Zelda and Zero Suit Samus on the Animal Crossing stage from the 3DS version. Nintendo is planning to launch both versions of the software product before the start of 2014. A summer release is being targeted for Super Smash Bros 4 for 3DS while Super Smash Bros 4 for Wii U should be coming this winter. Along with the different sets of assist trophies, both versions also come with various exclusive stages.
