SuperTed and Wales are synonymous with one and other. It was the first animated series produced entirely in Wales both in Welsh and English, it became the first animated show ever bought by Disney from an outside studio, the first British Academy Award for Wales, the first production from Wales co-produced with Hanna Barbara that ran in syndication in the US? The show was sold worldwide by S4C International the Welsh Language Television Channel. The SuperTed flash design was used on the Cardiff City Football Club shirts in 1984/5 one of the first shirt sponsors in UK football.
