Supreme Court allows voters to reject all candidates in elections: ****************************** ****************** The Supreme Court on Friday said that a button should be provided on voting machines for a voter to reject all candidates contesting an election in his or her constituency. The court said that the voters have right to reject all candidates contesting the elections. It directed the Election Commission to include negative voting by allowing voters to select none among the options. "Negative voting would foster purity and vibrancy in elections," the Supreme Court said. In a significant verdict, the court said that for a vibrant democracy the voter has the right to negative voting by rejecting all the candidates in fray by exercising the option of None of the Above (NOTA) in EVMs and ballot papers. #100RAB
