Surely Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, traditional belief systems all over the world, agnostics, atheists and any other faith or people of no faith must stand up now and say NO. Its not acceptable anymore to kill another person to advance a belief. What have we learnt from the past thousand years? Two, three even ten thousand years? Its wrong! Its disgusting and not acceptable. Its abhorrent. If religion is the justification for such terror, judgement, confinement and fear then religion is as far away from me as I am to the furthest star in the universe that I believe God created. Christians are killing Muslims, Muslims are killing Christians and who knows what other abominations are taking place in the name of God. And we wonder why a faith or a belief system is failing. The answers are not simple, they are complex and many, but for goodness sakes, throw off the shackles of religion that confine, dictate and hem in, and seek with the eyes we were all born with, not the eyes that greed, corruption , ideology and hatred have bred into us. We have to question, we have to seek what is true for humanity today - oppression, injustice, corruption and militant ideology is never ever acceptable. Maybe the greatest failing in our time on earth is our overwhelming and daily act of apathy. What are we doing here?
