Weather Situation A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge into New South Wales and will remain the dominant feature over the next few days. A weak trough is expected to bring a southerly change to the central parts of the coast Friday morning. The trough is expected to be slow moving over the weekend. Forecast for Friday until midnight. Winds Northeast to southeasterly below 10 knots. Seas Below 0.5 metres. Saturday 7 September Winds Northwest about 10 knots becoming southeasterly about 15 knots in the afternoon. Seas Below 0.5 metres. Sunday 8 September Winds Variable below 10 knots. Seas Below 0.5 metres. Monday 9 September Winds North to northeasterly about 10 knots increasing to 15 to 20 knots in the afternoon. Seas Up to 1 metre Tuesday 10 September Winds North to northwesterly 15 to 20 knots turning west to southwesterly later in the day. Seas Below 1 metre. Please be aware Wind gusts can be 40 percent stronger than the averages given here, and maximum waves may be up to twice the height.
