T.G.I.F!!!! . . . . For all the people going out tonight . . . heres a few tips on how to ask a Dj for a request!!! 1. If you decide to grace us with your knowledge on Whats Hot and take that long trip to the Dj booth . . . At least know the name of the song and the artist. 2. If the Dj has his headphones on . . . DO NOT TRY TO COMMUNICATE WITH HIM/HER!! Wait until they see you and take their headphones off. You could be interrupting them in the middle of a blend. For some Djs I see how this is not a problem since they do not beat match but for other Djs this is cause for us to not want to play your request. 3. Whether its your friends birthday or your birthday . . . and you want to do a shoutout to your posse . . . the answer will always be NO. You will not touch the microphone. The Dj will handle that. 4. Repeated trips to the Dj booth will not get your request played any sooner. Chances are if you havent heard your request within 15-20mins, it was a bad request.
