TCEC Employees Win National Awards Hooker, Okla. — Zac Perkins of Tri-County Electric Cooperative was awarded the 2014 Brand Champion Award May 15 at the CONNECT ’14 Conference for Cooperative Marketing, Communication & Member Services Professionals. Along with ten other dedicated co-op employees, Perkins was recognized for his exceptional efforts in making the Touchstone Energy® Cooperatives brand come alive with TCEC members and delivering real value. “Touchstone Energy Cooperatives are about innovation, integrity, accountability and commitment to community. Our Brand Champions personally embody these four principles as they serve our members,” said Denise Aranoff-Brown, Touchstone Energy chief operating officer and chief marketing officer. TCEC also recently received recognition in the 2014 “Spotlight on Excellence” national awards program, sponsored by the Council of Rural Electric Communicators and the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association. TCEC received a Silver Award in the Best Use of Digital Communication Category for “Co-op Conversation Power Point.” Erin Moore, member solutions coordinator, created the award-winning presentation. Moore was also awarded a Silver Award in the Best E-newsletter category for “Plugged-In” e-newsletter for educators of which she is the editor. “We strive to be a competitive cooperative that creates superior value for our members,” TCEC CEO Jack Perkins said. “We want to be the example other cooperatives follow. National recognition of our employees and their efforts illustrates our success.”
